Salwan Public School ,Rajinder Nagar got the 1st Prize for being the best recycler from TERI under their SEARCH PROJECT. Sensitization, Education and Awareness on recycling for a cleaner habitat .SPS collected 2300 Tertra-Paks in a shortest duration of one and a half month. Workshops were taken by Manav Bansal of VIII std for STD VI-VIII for sensitizing the students.

.Students from std I to std XII disposed Tetra Paks cartons in the dustbins provided by TERI after cleaning it.So they were able to transform trash into treasure.Student also participated in the project workshops,film screenings, role-plays,stimulation exercises and group activities. Students are working with TERI to make school a trash free zone.
