:Congratulations ! Harsh Manocha, class XII-A. He has got International rank 51
in the Level 2 of the Cyber Olympiad exam. He has been awarded a scholarship of
Rs 50,000/- by Science Olympiad Foundation and an opportunity to participate in
the Computer Camp at the National University of Singapore(NUS), where selected
top Indian students will participate along with International students and
attend Computer classes conducted by the famed faculty of NUS. This camp will be
held from 12th December to 16th December, 2011.

of Peace’ project has been initiated by the World Peace Prayer Society which has
installed Peace Poles all over the world. A Japanese Delegation was invited to
initiate an interactive session and voiced the slogan ‘May Peace Prevail on
Earth’.

:Kudos to the Green Brigade of SPS!! Centre for Science and Environment declares
SPS as the Best Change Maker School of Delhi. SPS ranked 2nd out of 15000
schools at the National Level.School felicitated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Ms.
Shiela Dixit.
At the National Level, the
school was also adjudged second out of 15,000 schools which were involved in the
CSE Program, from all over India.

undertaken by Volkswagen Company on sustainability and Environment. 12 students
have been selected for the same. Out of which 6 students will get an opportunity
to visit Wolfsburg, Germany for Climate Summit and the other six would
participate in the European Youth Summit on Climate in October, 2012. Mrs. Rekha
Lalla , Manav Seth and Kunal Dhingra , XII will visit South Korea, Busan.

Shri Rajender Singh ji from Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission motivated the students
by giving talk on topic ‘Ethical Values and Spiritual Development’ .He also
interacted with the students and answered their queries.

Touring Delhi has acquired an all new dimension, especially for school kids with
the purple coloured Ho Ho bus service (Hop on Hop off) being customized for
school children. Launched at the start of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi these
air conditioned buses take you for a “Dilli darshan” covering many important
tourist destinations including historic monuments, museums and markets.A group
of 225 kids from Salwan Public School, Rajinder Nagar boarded five of these
colourful buses right outside their school for a heritage tour of Delhi.

Sarswati Puja was organized in the School. The Ocassion
was marked by a brief puja followed by a talk on the importance of Basant
panchami, Sitar recital and dance performance by the students.
4th Feb 2011 :
On 4th February2011 students of Salwan public
in collaboration with Fortis organized a Health Camp and Awareness
Campaign at Manger . Among the distinguished guests present on the occasion were
Ms Anita Yadav, Additional Deputy commissioner, Ms Nalini Singh Eminent
Journalist ,Mr Harpal Singh Chairman Nanhi Chhaan Foundation . Ms Nalini
Singh emphasized the need to conserve the natural wealth of Aravalis in the
Manger belt .Mr Rajiv Lal , the School Head master put forth the problems
faced by the locals.As a part of the Awareness Campaign Students staged a
Nukkad Natak to promote the cause of the girl child. The Fortis team
conducted the medical checkup of the school children. Over the last few months
students of Salwan Public school have been regularly visting the village . They
have set up a library in the village school, organized hygiene campaigns and
given power point presentations on various topics.

2010 : A workshop on Climate change, and reducing carbon footprint was held in
the school. It was attended by a group of 50 students from classes 9th and 10th.
The two day session conducted by Mr. Rohit Prakash from I-dream organization
oriented the children on the basic science of climate change, its impacts,
calculating your carbon footprint and ways and means to reduce it.
