WORKSHOP ON CLIMATE CHANGE

On the 13th and 14th September 2010 a workshop on Climate change, and reducing carbon footprint was held in the school. It was attended by a group of 50 students from classes 9th and 10th. The two day session conducted by Mr. Rohit Prakash from I-dream organization oriented the children on the basic science of climate change, its impacts, calculating your carbon footprint and ways and means to reduce it.

The two day workshop also had group discussions and group activities. It was followed by a plantation drive in our school. Our Principal Mrs. Vandana Puri herself planted two saplings. About 100 saplings were given to the school out of which some were planted in the school. Due to lack of space others were planted under the metro bridge, Pusa road and still others were gifted to parents .
